LAS VEGAS — October 5, 2026 — Verifone, a global leader in payments and commerce technologies, today announced strategic product enhancements at the NACS Show to drive growth, customer satisfaction and revenue for its convenience and fuel retail partners.
“Fuel and convenience retailers are under pressure from every direction — rising costs, tightening compliance, and customers who expect more from every visit," said James Hervey, EVP of Petro at Verifone. “Most stations now make the bulk of their profit from what's inside the store, not from what's at the pump. That means operators need one system that talks to all of it — sales, inventory, and the customer experience. Commander gives them that system, so they spend less time managing technology and more time running their business.”
The announcement spotlights key pillars of Verifone’s unified ecosystem, which lets convenience and fuel retailers unify their operations under one cloud-connected footprint, is designed to eliminate disjointed point-of-sale hardware.
At the NACS show, Verifone will unveil the following innovations, designed to help businesses advance to the next stage of their payments journey:
“C-stores and gas stations face a unique combination of cash-flow volatility and substantial upfront capital requirements,” said Ted Kirk, U.S. Country Head for YouLend. “By providing working capital to these businesses, YouLend and Verifone help them serve customers, plan for the future, and drive growth.”
Partnerships to Fuel Your Business
The company also announced new partnerships that extend the ecosystem’s capabilities and market reach across the commercial fleet area, including:
Multi Service Fuel Card: With more than 45 years of trucking-industry trust, the Multi Service Fuel Card adds a long-standing, widely accepted trucking fuel card option to the Commander Fleet portfolio, simplifying fuel management for fleet operators.
“As the first live-authorization fuel card for over-the-road commercial fleets, our card carries a long-standing legacy of trust and reliability in the trucking industry,” said Aaron Decker, CEO of Multi Service Fuel Card. “Together with Commander Fleet, acceptance transitions from the pump to the point of sale without added hardware or extra steps. Drivers fuel up. Fleets get real-time visibility. Everyone gets back on the road faster.”
Mudflap: The original cardless fleet payment platform for trucking, bringing hundreds of thousands of commercial drivers to Commander Fleet locations with secure app and card-based payments.
QuikQ: QuikQ is a full-service fuel payment, digital payment and fraud prevention solutions provider. The company’s streamlined approach to transactions reduces fees and creates a more direct, transparent relationship among merchants, carriers and payment providers.
“QuikQ was built on the idea that payments in the trucking industry should be more efficient, more affordable and built around the customer,” said Jon Russell, CEO of QuikQ. “Working with Verifone puts that idea in front of more merchants and drivers. Merchants get fleet acceptance built into technology they already run, and drivers get a faster, simpler stop.”
Piston Technologies Inc.: Brings a new payment network for commercial fleets to Commander Fleet, expanding payment acceptance for fuel retailers serving trucking and logistics companies. The integration lets merchants to accept Piston payments and serve its fleet customers through the Verifone platform they already use.
“We run fleets ourselves, and we built Piston because the solution we needed didn’t exist. Our cardless network connects fleets directly with site owners through Verifone Commander, removing the card and the intermediaries’ fleets have paid for over decades,” said Vikram Sekhon, Co-founder & CEO, Piston Technologies Inc. “Fleets lose fewer gallons to fraud and save more at the pump. Retailers gain commercial volume and the in-store spend that comes with it.”
Verifone will have a strong presence at the NACS Show 2026, speaking (in TruAge booth) on “Can Self-Checkout Sell Age-Restricted Products Safely?” and hosting live in-booth solution demonstrations at the Verifone booth #C5924.
