What you'll do

  • Provide operational support and be involved in all aspects of Acquiring Chargebacks 
  • Prepare and submit accurate defense packages in line with the relevant PSP/Acquirer requirements to increase won rates in the chargeback process 
  • Ensure accurate records are kept on the status of all incoming Chargebacks 
  • Assure the good functionality of the chargeback and refund process 
  • Advise on the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective dispute and chargeback operation programs
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the Chargeback and Refunds Manager and to Senior and Executive Management
  • Establish and maintain effective communication lines with key stakeholders, business partners, and peers.
  • Partner with stakeholders to build dispute and chargeback considerations into future product and launch plans across all lines of business
  • Contribute to capability roadmaps to deliver improvement in key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Be up to date on changes to dispute resolution rules as mandated by Card Schemes
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the business, management, and senior leadership
  • Assist the 3rd line of defense with the auditing programs 


What qualifications will you need to be successful?

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics or equivalent professional experience 
  • Proven experience within the Financial Services or Card industry, ideally 3+ years of experience in payments/fraud/chargebacks within financial services 
  • Previous experience of working in a highly regulated industry 
  • Experience with card schemes (issuing and acquiring) is a plus. 
  • Fluent communication skills in English
  • German language knowledge is a plus
  • Strong PC skills in Windows environment and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good analytical talent and strong hands-on mentality including problem-solving skills
