Job brief

We are looking for a Data Privacy Analyst (DPA) to join our Data Privacy Office in Bucharest. You will be part of our Acquiring & Financial services Excellence Center, delivering services to our regulated entities in Europe and beyond.

The DPA will report to the DPO and is tasked to ensure our company is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other privacy laws & jurisdictions. DPA responsibilities include advising on our compliance with GDPR and local data protection laws, monitoring our adherence to GDPR standards and acting as a point of contact with supervisory authorities and data subjects. You will also support the DPO in creating policies that enforce compliance with legislation and support the delivery of Privacy/GDPR trainings to our staff aimed at increasing awareness on data privacy and data protection.

To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of GDPR and local data protection laws and be familiar with financial services and the nature of its data processing activities.

Ultimately, together with the DPO you will facilitate GDPR and data privacy compliance through transparent data protection policies, systems and procedures.

What you'll do

  • Co-ordinate Data Privacy requests and liaising with business areas.
  • Assist with Data privacy activities, functions and processes within our regulated operating framework including conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments, maintain and update Record of Processing Activities, conduct third-party due diligence reviews, Transfer Impact Assessment and assist with identifying safeguard mechanism for international transfers.
  • Provide Data Privacy support for global information systems
  • Support the Data Privacy Office with ad hoc projects and carry out additional duties as assigned by manager.

Technical skills and qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of data protection laws
  • Experience with privacy risk assessments and a track record of supporting businesses in Data Privacy role
  • Demonstrable ability to recognize the relevance of risk trends, issues and potential risk exposure
