What you'll do

Verifone is seeking an experienced software architect to join the development team in our Leeds office as a senior and influential member of the Android Payment Stack team.

  • Working with key stakeholders, including product management, regional customer representatives and other engineering leaders and architects, you will manage the requirements pipeline for Verifone’s Android payments solutions.
  • Lead the definition and shaping of feature requests so that they align with Verifone’s Android product strategy and architecture, using collaborative tools and online meetings, where appropriate.
  • Determine whether requests are suitable for inclusion in core software products as “global” features, or whether they are localised requirements requiring a localised solution.
  • Ensure that feature requests for the core Android products are defined to the extent that engineers can be assigned to implement.

 

What qualifications will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor degree in a technical discipline, preferably in SW Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 10+ years of experience of software development.
  • Experience of capturing and detailing software use cases and requirements.
  • Experience with large and complex software systems.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian development tools, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Proven ability to work with people in different countries and across time zones.
  • Experience in the design and development of Android applications.
  • Payment solutions or other related experience is desirable, although not necessary
