Position Summary:  Country Sales Manager, Philippines

The Country Sales Manager Philippines is a critical position to Verifone’s Asia Pacific business portfolio and will be reporting directly to the APAC President. This role needs to act as the Country Sales manager in Philippines. 

 our Essential Responsibilities:

  • Full sales responsibility for the region and is expected to contribute to the long-term strategic growth, organization and business development in Philippines. 
  • In Sales operations, the initial focus will be on energizing and building in Sales and Service, and in partnering with global engineering to complete the design, delivery and go to market plan.
  • Acting as an advocate for Verifone’s key customers and partners in APAC, deepening and up tiering strategic relationships with Sales Manager, Philippines.
  • Contribute to Verifone’s business strategy, planning, and implementation of the operating plans which address the needs of the market and the corporate financial goals and objectives of the company.  A key area of attention will be the review and restructure of the Philippines Sales and the existing product and solutions roadmap to ensure a solid foundation for growth.
  • Ensure that profitability and growth objectives are met according to financial budgets, and plans are achieved. The focus will be on launching new products and solutions to market, developing and implementing plans to grow revenue, while minimizing price erosion and intense competition, and to improve contribution margins.
  • Identify key areas of growth, as well as providing and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The initial focus will be growth in the financial services sector.
  • Develop ecosystem partnerships and manage relationships with strategic partners to maximize partnership potential.  Grow revenues through sales and partnerships.
  • Build the VeriFone brand in Philippines through attendance at industry events, developing key relationships and contributing to thought leading white papers or similar. Act as the key spokesperson for Verifone in Philippines.
  • Play a critical linkage role with Verifone Asia Pacific to align operations and support key corporate initiatives as required.
  • Proactively build a broader and deeper understanding within the organization on the opportunities and challenges that exist in the Philippines market.
  • Demonstrate a high sense of personal integrity, honesty and trust with verified track record of corporate, legal, and regulatory compliance; and be able to drive integrity throughout the organization, instill the right culture, and ensure that processes, procedures, checks and balances will reinforce a compliance-oriented culture.

Your Knowledge and Experience: 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ sales experience
  • Experienced building strategic sales plans and deals, strong capabilities in forecasting and sales operational discipline.  Tactical expertise to substantially grow and win-back business in a rapidly changing and growing business environment
  • Financial and business acumen, understanding and proven experience operationalizing plans within budget and timing.
  • Deep understanding of the competitive landscape in payments and technology segments.  Passion for technology and understands the impact of products connected to great solutions to create world class end to end customer experiences. 
  • Portfolio of relationships with ecosystem partners in the financial services and payments industries.
  • Experienced working in a matrixed organization, proven success leveraging both direct and indirect reports across the region and company
  • Experienced people leader; successful track record managing through change and organizational transformation.  Has recruited, developed, and retained high performing teams. 
  • Successful completion of a university degree; post graduate credentials a plus.
  • Driven, self-motivated, resilient, adaptable and pragmatic
  • Bias towards data-based decision making, a planner with ability to put ideas into actionable steps.
  • Natural leader with the ability to communicate and influence all levels from senior executives on down and across all functions
  • Ability to balance conflicting resource demands and internal pressures with focus towards our business priorities
  • Have a high tolerance for and able to navigate ambiguity and complexity.  Prioritizes and clarifies direction and objectives to team members.
