Key Roles and Responsibilities

Participate in all aspects of OS development activity – conceptualization, analysis & design, implementation and support.
Read & experiment with relevant technologies (mainly open-source) on a pro-active manner through self motivated initiatives.
Complete all assigned tasks on timely basis.
Conceptualize & design software solutions for the systems software group.
The engineer will be responsible for developing components on various technology platforms as required by the underlying product architecture.
Complete documentation as required.
Assist junior engineers as and when required; Provide Internal training to others as required.
Ensure that systems developed are of high quality, and are implemented securely and according to design.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
4 – 7 years of relevant experience.
Experience in payments / POS solutions.
Good Knowledge of Unix Internals – prefer Linux/Open-Source background.
Excellent command over C/Core-Java/Unix Environment.
Prior experience in X-Windows core libraries.
Good working knowledge of various programming methodologies & design patterns.
Optimization & performance turning of application developed for embedded environment.
Excellent documentation & presentation skills and good communication skills – ability to work in cross cultural environment.
