Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Product owner own the products during whole product life cycle (PLC).
- Maintain the mass production product now manufacturing at VFI CM (quality, yield rate, efficiency documentation/improvement, assurance of shipment, root cause analysis for the defect units.).
- Implementing new designs and concepts (DFM) into new developing products with RD Singapore mainly (others may be UK , Taiwan or even USA) and transfer it into CM.
- Complete process improvements to streamline product flow and be responsible for implementation of process improvements, cost saving, increasing yield rate, quality.
- Document product manufacturing problems onto Engineering Change order (ECO) forms (Or DDD for short term change).
- Create/Review/Approve DDD, ECO a, creating/modifying BOM's. B, Dwg change.
- Work with RD/CM engineers to develop appropriate assemble fixtures for products and document procedure methods for assemble.
- Transferring product from one CM to another CM when management requires.
- Providing the rework instruction for Local rework center.
- Review the labor Hr/DFX.
- Approve the second tooling parts from manufacturing point of view.
- Ability to work overtime when workload requires.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A basic skill on using Pro E for a drawing modification or willing to learn.
- Understanding SMD process (with the concepts of parts placement, printing, hot air reflow and box build).
- Capable of troubleshooting a POS terminal as what it is designed/ assembled.
- Good written documentation skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with Contract manufacturing and engineering personnel.
- Must be able to read and speak English and mandarin (Speaking).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Effectively root cause analysis and problem solving skill.
- Traveling percentage: 70%.
